I don't believe that there's a difference in the way men and women love. I think the difference is in the way each individual person loves. Love is based on mutual trust and the personality of the person you're with. So if someone trusts very easily but the person they like or love is more cautious with trusting people it could end badly. For example, if the trusting person says I love you the person that doesn't trust easily might not be at that stage yet. The trusting person would be hurt because the other person doesn't love them.
Trust is based on your own personal experiences. If someone trusts people but then they constantly let them down eventually they won't let themselves trust people that easily. And without trust their love life probably won't go too well either.
That's why I don't think men and women love differently.
